2023 - BRAND IDENTITY
Supervised by: Matt Curry
PATCH is a community garden concept developed in response to the cost-of-living crisis in Australia. Research found that 100% of participants prioritised food when considering how they would spend different amounts of money, while 87.5% felt the crisis had negatively affected their mental health.

The idea was to give people a more accessible way to grow their own food while creating a sense of community, purpose and control. Members receive a welcome kit containing a reusable wooden crate, vegetable seeds and a personalised trowel that acts as the key to their plot. A simple “Grow Guide” makes the concept accessible both within the community garden and at home.

The visual identity, welcome kit, Grow Guide and poster campaign were designed to bring the PATCH concept to life and encourage people to rethink how they grow and access food.
